Case Background: High injection pressure and runner pressure loss in an automotive parts product resulted in sink marks opposite the boss hole.
Improvement Solution: Using Moldflow simulation mold data, we determined the cause of the problem was excessive injection pressure and runner pressure loss. We proposed increasing the number of hot runner points and shortening the runner system length.
Improvement Results: Injection pressure was effectively reduced, runner pressure loss was minimized, and the sink mark issue opposite the boss hole was resolved, meeting product quality requirements.
